Default New Update Causing Lag ?

Ever since I downloaded that new update everything is laggin'... I mean everywhere too. I can hit a spell and it doesn't work for another few seconds, glitchin' in/out of areas, type something it happens a few seconds later. I have been playing this game for a long long time and this has never happened on a level like this... I also have heard from others in my guild and online that are experiencing issues. Something needs to be done to correct it. Maybe the servers couldn't handle this new update ? I'm getting a great ic on everything else I do.

Maybe there are heck of a lot more people on this weekend. I have had the odd bit of lag, nothing too bad. For me it was worse after the wintersday update.

i getting some 10-20 second lag.

and i will add , having a cheap pc can cause your game freeze if some backgroup program make something for few second , net lag are another thing.

my problems started today- i was actually about to post about it as a possible update issue.

what happens is when i cast a spell, theres a noticable delay before the spell even starts. also, and more of a PITA is the "rubberbanding" effect im now getting. ill be going from one place and all the sudden ill warp back a bit. my character will start turning in circles while running as well. its quite odd and it just started- i had no problems after wintersday and none when i updated for factions.

also, my computer is very top of the line and im on high-speed internet so i know its not a problem on my end. anyone else experiencing this?

Actually that sounds like exactly what I'm experiencing Cash. It's only been since about 6pm tonight that I've lagged so badly. I can't even run around in an empty distict without lagging. Something tells me A.Net messed up some of the code, because there aren't any more districts anywhere than there normally is.

LOTS of little hiccups on with my gameplay. Little 1-3 second screenfreezes. It wouldn't be AS annoying if I wasn't a Primary Healer/Support toon that needs to change targets/skills quickly.

I haven't experience any lag and the game is running fine for me. Maybe it's because I upgraded my computer before the event.

But I still get the regular err=7 (or new an improved code=007) once a day.

It certainly has gone a lot worse since the batle islands update. In fight when I'm chasing someone my char isnt running but flashing all over the map.

Well I have played since June.. or maybe it was May, and have never had lag. That is, until now. I played on the highest visual quality, but when the factions update came, I switched to the lowest, and still got lag! Is this just because there are so many people playing this weekend?

If it is true lag (meaning latency), it should have next to nothing to do with your hardware specs... If the server is (metaphorically) clogged, there's nothing you can do about it. Problem is, crappy performance from a crappy PC is sometimes indistinguishable from crappy performance due to crappy connection.

i got the rubberband effect while running. it's like they could teleport me back to them. i'd almost get to portal, then get warped back.
